'I've been following 1 of 100 for a couple of years, impressed by all the music and cultural collaborations Richie has worked on. It's never just another t-shirt, each of his collabs stand for something or tell a story. Cola Boy is no different.
The Cola Boy story stands for the free-spirited, party-loving, can-do attitude of 90s clubbers which is still relevant today. An attitude which welcomes people of all races, genders and sexual orientation. Set between Scotland, England and the Middle East, the Cola Boy tale also shines a light on the racism, misogyny and homophobia sadly found in Dubai. The Arabic writing on the book cover and the back of this t-shirt means 'Stand Free' and Cola Boy stands free from all such hatred.
That's not to say though that the main character Jimmy Irvine is without his flaws. A journalist and small-time DJ who's hell-bent on organising the first desert rave, he's bound to get caught up in all sorts of mischief. Love the book. Live the tee!' - Ryan Battles
