'It was a privilege to work with such a serious head as Julian House on the perfect design for Volcanic Tongue. I gave him a basic brief that took in some of the artists and record labels whose visual aesthetic inspired VT – including the free jazz album sleeves of BYG/Actuel and the art of Wallace Berman – and he came up with a dream of a cover, a gorgeous tribute to Berman’s Verifax collages transposed to the DIY cassette-punk underground, making for the ultimate rock/roll t-shirt.' - David Keenan
