Horace Panter is coming to the shop for two nights in November, and we are still getting used to saying that out loud!
-
Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th November, 7–9pm
-
1 of 100 Shop, 63 Old Castle Road, G44 5TG
- No physical ticket, there will be a list on the door
As bassist and founding member of The Specials, Horace was there from the start in Coventry, all those moments that turned 2 Tone and Ska into one of the defining stories in British music. He went to art college before he formed the band, and he has spent the years since building a serious body of work as a painter. We will be showcasing a selection of his artwork in the shop across both evenings.
Each night Horace will sit down for a Q&A about his life in and around The Specials, followed by time for you to put your own questions to him. Getting someone with his history into a room this size is rare, and with numbers kept deliberately small, you will be close enough to have a proper conversation with him.
There will be drinks, music and plenty of chat, along with the new Limited Edition art print and t-shirt we have made with Horace. Both nights follow the same format, so pick whichever suits you best.
Space is very limited.
Space is very limited and may be standing, the Q&A will be around 40mins then time to chat and mingle. We will keep a few seats spare if you require them, please add a comment with your order.
