'These portraits were from the photo session I shot for Japan’s ‘The Art of Parties’ single cover. I believe the concept (Dave’s) was to take on the appearance of sweaty travellers in tropical climes (we’d recently returned from Thailand). Shot in Mick’s flat, using a single domestic spot to light the faces, totally amateur but somehow they made it. Each portrait appeared on its own fold-out panel of the 7” single.' - Steve Jansen
