Delighted to announce this very Special Edition collaboration between a trio of inspirational creatives, Savage Pencil (Edwin Pouncey); musician, producer and artist Alexander Tucker’s mutant techno alter ego, MICROCORPS; and The Tapeworm!

'A unique collaboration between underground comics and graphic artist Savage Pencil (Edwin Pouncey); musician, producer and artist Alexander Tucker’s mutant techno alter ego, MICROCORPS; and The Tapeworm, a tape-only label celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2024. This three-headed monster converges with 1 of 100 to combine artwork and graphics from the recent MICROCORPS – Macrocorpse 2021-2024 release on The Tapeworm.

Renowned artist Savage Pencil has been warping the eyes and minds of fans of independent comics, record sleeves, posters and T-shirts since the ‘70s. Working with formidable experimental bands and musicians such as Big Black, Sonic Youth, Swans, Earth, Sunn O))). His deeply twisted and psychedelic work has been published by The Wire magazine, Sounds, Escape magazine, Strange Attractor and his own Corpsemeat publications.

Releasing a slew of albums under Alexander Tucker, Imbogdom (w/ Daniel Beban) and Grumbling Fur (w/ Daniel O’Sullivan), collaborating with Nik Colk Void (as Brood X Cycles), Stephen O’Malley, and forming Nonexistent with Astrud Steehouder and Luke J Murray. Recently Tucker’s primary focus is new guise MICROCORPS, his vehicle for exploring modular systems and experimental composition that ranges from mutant techno, processed vocals and cello, to stretched orchestral arrangements.

The Tapeworm has carved a unique furrow over the past 15 years, publishing more than 160 cassette tape-only editions from both established experimental artists and those on the fringes of underground music. With releases by names as varied as Fennesz, Oren Ambarchi, Philip Jeck, Jay Glass Dubs, Marta De Pascalis, Leslie Winer, Derek Jarman, Stephen O’Malley, Mark Fell and Aaron Turner, its curatorial approach is genre-blind, as though it were an endless mixtape.'
